Design Phase

Attend design team workshops with the Architect, the Owner and other consultants.
Establish design intent, illumination criteria, system concepts, project cost guidelines and schedule parameters
Provide a Lighting Concepts Document outlining the recommended program for lighting design for Owner approval, including performance requirements, scale, components， unique features， sketches and renderings, outlining concepts for consideration.
Conduct in house design study to develop design and initiate delivery of formal submittals with design team.
Develop electrical lighting illumination calculations for interior and exterior spaces as required to confirm design intent.
Prepare lighting plans showing lighting fixture locations keyed to lighting fixture schedules.
Develop lighting control system concepts and outline specifications
Prepare and submit lighting document submittals i.e. lighting concepts, and design develop document submittal. Adjust and refine the design, as necessary.
Assist in review and reconciliation of the lighting cost estimate.

Documentation

Attend design team meetings with the Architect, Owner, Contractor and other consultants.
Prepare lighting plans showing lighting fixture locations keyed to light fixture schedules.
Prepare plans, specifications and schedules for lighting control system intent.
Prepare lighting fixture specifications with lighting fixture catalog cut sheets.
Prepare and submit lighting document submittals for Construction Document submittal. These submittals will include lighting plans, lighting fixture schedule; lighting fixture cut sheets, and lighting control intent drawings.
Develop lighting details with Architect, Electrical Engineer and Contractor.
Review final lighting plans as represented on Construction Documents prepared by the Architect and Electrical Engineer. Coordinate revisions as necessary.
Meet with Contractor, define scope of work so as to fully understand lighting plans and owner’s intent.
Assist in review and reconciliation of the lighting cost estimate.

Contract Bidding and Negotiation  

Provide clarifications to bidders, as required.
Provide assistance for the owner to examine and evaluate proposals from bidders


Construction Administration

Attend team coordination meeting with Owner, Architect, Contractor and other consultants.
Perform reviews of fixture submittals and shop drawings as provided by the Contractor for compliance with the lighting plan.
Perform review of requests for substitution,
Review and respond to Requests for Information, and change order issues.
Provide site visits to observe and direct the light fixture aiming and control system tuning.
Provide site visit to review final lighting installation and provide punch list.
